Our approach
Beliefs first. Tips later.
You have already tried the tips. You have had the chore chart, the app, the alarm set for half an hour earlier. My guess is that they failed because they were fighting a belief you still held, and the belief won.
So these books take the beliefs first, and leave the practical advice until the end.
Short on purpose
Each book can be read in an evening. A longer book would not be a better one; it would just be a book you meant to finish.
Evidence you can check
Where a claim rests on research, the study is named in the notes at the end, along with what it does and does not show. Where it rests on ordinary observation, the book says so. And several chapters ask you to check something in your own life, with a timer or just by paying attention — because ten seconds of your own evidence will beat pages of argument.
No pressure to change anything
You do not need to give anything up while you read. Nothing is asked of you until the end, and even then it is one small thing.
Where the limits are
These books are written for someone who is able to do the thing and keeps not doing it. If your limit is illness, exhaustion or a life with too much in it, that is capacity, not attitude, and no change of mind creates hours that do not exist.
